18th Century Style Bridal Gowns |
"Green-Gold Brocade" |
|
An eighteenth century styled gown with a boned brocade bodice and matching silk skirt. The sleeves are in classic georgian style - fitted to the elbow, ending in a fluted cuff, edged with pearls. |
The toning silk dupion skirt was worn over a large petticoat. The neckline of the bodice was edged in dyed pearls. For similar gowns see "Arts and crafts" (this section) and "Pandora" (Mediaeval Gowns).
