The central "stomacher" panel is in a stunning metallic gold lace with false lacing, laid over a dark red silk. The same dark red silk edges the neckline and the tabs at the base of the corset. The corset is laced at the back with handworked eyelet holes (see detail). The bodice is fully lined in the same silks.

The clouds of pale gold tulle skirts are draped up at the sides by dark red flowerheads, hinting at classic eighteenth century style panniers.
