Ready-to-Wear Venetian Ball Collection

The "Rococo" gown has a boned corset-bodice in a soft green/gold silk dupion. It is based on authentic 18th century shapes, but follows the shape of the bust rather than flattening and lifting. (It will only be sold if the fit is perfect!)

The central "stomacher" panel is in a stunning metallic gold lace with false lacing, laid over a dark red silk. The same dark red silk edges the neckline and the tabs at the base of the corset. The corset is laced at the back with handworked eyelet holes (see detail). The bodice is fully lined in the same silks.

The clouds of pale gold tulle skirts are draped up at the sides by dark red flowerheads, hinting at classic eighteenth century style panniers.

This gown can be treated as a made-to-measure order if the measurements shown are are unsuitable - from £2000. It can also be made in alternative colours - similar lace is available in silver and looks wonderful combined with shades of lilac or white.
