"Rosamunda"
Some gowns are inspired by a multitude of sources. "Rosamunda" reflects classic Italian Renaissance costume together with Cinderella-style fairy-tale prettiness and the romantic influence of Pre-Raphaelite artists such as Kate Bunce and Waterhouse. The boned bodice is a combination of an ivory and beautiful soft green thai silk, with the focus on a stunning panel of goldwork embroidery, highlighted with a gold lace trim. The slashed gauntlet sleeves are in pink/ green shot velvet with false chemise puffs at elbow and shoulder in fortuny pleated ivory silk. The full ivory thai silk skirt is edged by a green panné velvet trim, a deep border of gold embroidered pink silk and a rich metallic gold hem trimming. Some of these fabrics and trims are no longer repeatable, but alternatives and similar ones are available.

This gown is currently held as a studio sample and, if it fits well, will be sold for £800 as shown without any alterations. (This price reflects it's current perfect condition). Made to measure, a similar design would be approximately £2600. |
