Most clients have a two-piece order of corset and skirt; some have a four-piece outfit! This commission included a long-line, waist-cinching corset, a fish-tail skirt, a removeable (tartan lined) train and a cropped bolero-style jacket. |
Below, the complete outfit in a sumptuous silk dupion with toning clan tartan; a detail of the dragonfly on the hip ; a close-up of the shoulder.
|
The four seperate parts to this order resulted in an ultra-flexible outfit, whatever the weather/ temperature/ venue. The removeable tartan-lined train and bolero jacket enabled the bride to change her look entirely from ceremony to reception.
Shoes were made to match in the blue silk. See "Flower of Scotland" in the Corset and Contemporary categories on the menu for an similar commission incorporating butterflies and tartan trims.
