Sixteenth Century Elizabethan Reproduction
Costume

Side view of brocade elizabethan-style period costume Full length view of Elizabethan style gown in brocade and silk

For a few years I ventured into constructing reproduction costume for "Living History" re-enactors. The costume shown was displayed at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, advertised for sale in "Skirmish" Magazine and promptly sold.

Since then, commissions for wedding gowns "in the style of" certain historical periods have taken priority, but I would be more than happy to construct a gown with a more authentic (to the period) cut if this is what you are looking for.

The corseted elizabethan-shaped bodice was constructed in an elaborate brocade, embellished with further beading and faux fur. The main skirt was in a deep cream silk, opening at the front to show a brocade panel, enhanced with pearls.
