The main wedding dress is in white silk - a boned bodice with slightly flared skirt. The sleeves are fitted from the upper arm down, ending in laced cuffs; the uppersleeve is off-the-shoulder with a slashed panel to reveal the black and white Erskine tartan. Neck, sleeve and cuff edges are piped in tartan silk. The tartan is swagged around the hips, flowing into the dramatic train with a bustle-type bow.
