Swanilda's costumes
were designed for Watlington School of Dancing's 25th anniversary production
of the ballet "Coppélia".
The Act I peasant
costume consists of a silk dupion bodice with a decorated brocade stomacher
with false lacing. Tassets at the waist and seam lines are piped
in a contrasting colour. The multi-layered tulle skirt is edged in
lace.
The costume was made
to the highest couture / theatrical standards in order to withstand the
rigours of many performances.
