Classical Ballet Tutus |
"Moonlight-Blue" Tutu |
|
A blue white and silver tutu designed to order for UK competitions. The bodice was a shot blue/white silk dupion; the skirt was a mixture of blue and white nets with matching embellishment. (This had to be kept to a minimum in order not to over-power a 10-year-old) |
The bodice was decorated with silver appliqué-work and highlighted with sequins and crystals which constantly sparkle as the dancer moves.

The short, stiff, plate-shaped tutu skirt starts as white at the knickers, alternating white and blue nets for interest. This costume can be reproduced exactly as shown in many colour variations.
