Joanne's wedding gown incorporated two toning shades of gold silk, highlighted with gold lace on the bodice stomacher and edging the overskirt.
The gown was constructed as two seperate pieces: a corseted bodice with off-the shoulder sleeves and a seperate cartridge-pleated skirt. They were actually partly stitched together to be worn as a dress.

The gown's Tudor/contemporary feel was inspired by authentic historical costume and also by such films as "La Reine Margot".
