Tudor Gold
tudor-style wedding gown with layered lace stomacher tudor style gown with layered gold lace stomacher, off-shoulder sleeves and cartridge pleated skirt

Joanne's wedding gown incorporated two toning shades of gold silk, highlighted with gold lace on the bodice stomacher and edging the overskirt.

The gown was constructed as two seperate pieces: a corseted bodice with off-the shoulder sleeves and a seperate cartridge-pleated skirt. They were actually partly stitched together to be worn as a dress.

Grateful thanks are due to Joanne for the beautiful photos of her Devon wedding, above and below.

The gown's Tudor/contemporary feel was inspired by authentic historical costume and also by such films as "La Reine Margot".
