Most clients have a two-piece order of corset and skirt; some have a four-piece outfit! This commission included a long-line, waist-cinching corset, a fish-tail skirt, a removeable (tartan lined) train and a cropped bolero-style jacket.|
Below, the complete outfit in a sumptuous silk dupion with toning clan tartan; a detail of the dragonfly on the hip ; a close-up of the shoulder.
The four seperate parts to this order resulted in an ultra-flexible outfit, whatever the weather/ temperature/ venue. The removeable tartan-lined train and bolero jacket enabled the bride to change her look entirely from ceremony to reception.
Shoes were made to match in the blue silk.|
See "Flower of Scotland" in the Corset and Contemporary categories on the menu for an similar commission incorporating butterflies and tartan trims.
